Founded in 1993 by Hernán Castro García, Union Andina has stood out from the beginning for its innovative vision in the legal sector. At a time when law firms were not strictly seen as legal service companies, Hernán established the firm as a limited liability company, enabling more flexible management and dynamic growth within the legal field.

A second pioneering aspect was positioning the firm as a brand that embodied the international vocation of its services, offering a comprehensive solution for international clients seeking a centralized service or “Hub” specialized in trademarks and patents in the region. Inspired by the Andean Community and the Andean Industrial Property Regime, Union Andina has been providing legal solutions that facilitate the protection of intangible assets across Andean countries and Latin America.

In the early 2000s, Eurocía Angulo Rabanal joined the firm as a key partner, bringing over three decades of corporate experience that transformed our internal services and strengthened our ability to attract international clients. Under her leadership, we have established ourselves as a benchmark in intangible asset protection throughout Latin America, offering comprehensive solutions tailored to meet the most complex client needs.

In 2018, Alejandro Castro Angulo joined the firm, marking the beginning of its second generation. With a solid professional background in administration, law, and psychology, Alejandro has driven the firm to significantly enhance its legal services in Intellectual Property and related areas. Furthermore, he has incorporated consumer research practices and brand strategy, expanding our portfolio of services.
